Strong cashback will be available on sending money through WhatsApp

It is being rolled out step-by-step for the users. WhatsApp aims to bring its payment service to India to compete with PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm, and other payment services in the country. At the same time, the Meta-owned WhatsApp company has taken a big step to advance its payment service in India. The company has offered a cashback offer (WhatsApp Cashback) for its customers.

According to the information given by the company, till the end of May next month, WhatsApp users will get a cashback of Rs 33 on money transfers. This cashback will be valid for the first 3 transactions only.

100 million users will get cashback

The cashback offer comes just days after WhatsApp received regulatory approval to expand its payments service to 100 million users in India. From this, it looks like the company is looking to aggressively expand its WhatsApp payments service across the country.

Let us tell you that WhatsApp will give this facility only to 100 million users. With WhatsApp Pay, users can send money to their contacts directly from the chat window. Users can also pay Rs 1 to their contacts. WhatsApp will now count that as a valid transaction. The company is rolling out a new WhatsApp cashback feature to promote its payment service.

WhatsApp Payment Cashback

WhatsApp Payment Service is a built-in application, in which the company allows its customers to get up to Rs 11 cashback (up to three times) for sending money to three different users on the app. The company is giving the benefit to those users who are using this service for at least 30 days and are registered for payment on WhatsApp from their bank account.

Let us tell you that WhatsApp first tested the cashback reward in November 2021. The company had earlier offered Rs 51 for making payments through the app
